Airplay (How to use apple airplay using Shairbridge)

Airplay allows you to stream music from your mobile device into a Distributed Audio system through your home’s WiFi network. In order to use this feature you will need to do the following:

1. Make sure your device is connected to the House WiFi. This should be your main network and not your guest network.

2. Choose your streaming music service and make a selection. When you hear the music playing on your device move to the next step.

3. Navigate to the Controls Screen on your iOS device, Each iOS version is a bit different, for some, you will swipe up from the bottom of the screen. Others will swipe down from the top right corner. Once the Controls screen is visible, select the AirPlay symbol.

4. You should see all available AirPlay devices that you could connect to. Select ShairBridge to connect to your Distributed Audio System.

5. Open your Control4 App, Select your Room and Select Listen.

6. Choose ShairBridge as the source.

You should now see the Cover Art and Music Meta Data in the Now Playing window. You will also be able to control the mobile device through the Control4 App allowing you to Pause and skip tracks.

Airplay Troubleshooting:
If ShairBridge isn’t showing up:
• Turn Off WiFi on your device and then turn it back on again.
• Power Cycle the Device itself
• Power Cycle the AirPlay Device (Controller, Airport, WMB)
