Trouble Shooting Tips (How to preform a network reboot, what to look out for to help determine the root problem)
There are occasions where something has locked up both your modem and your router. If you have already tried to individually power cycle your modem and your router you may need to do a full network reset:
- Power down the modem by unplugging only the power cord
- Power down the router by unplugging only the power cord
- Wait 60 seconds
- Power up only the modem and wait for it to fully boot up. You should see a solid Power light and a solid Online light
- Then power up your router and wait 2-3 minutes while your router fully boots up
- Try to access the internet again
If this does not work call your service provider to verify they are not seeing a problem on their end. If they determine everything is good on their end call or e-mail us to set up a support ticket.
